Trail Section

Notes

Free street parking. Picnic tables. Childrens playground. Outdoor ampitheater. Sweeping views of the coastline and Santa Catalina Island on clear days. Monarch butterflies spend their winters here. The lighthouse was built in 1874 with lumber from California redwoods and a Fresnel Lens brought around Cape Horn by sailing ship. Tours are held every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Across the street is colorful Walker's Cafe which is frequently used as a movie location.
