Trail Section

Notes

The 260' high bridge is an important landmark along the Big Sur highway, and marks the junction with the Old Coast Road route of the CCT. Spectacular views are available from both the bridge and along the first 1/2 mile of the Old Coast Road. No beach access.

Bixby Bridge stretches 700' long to cross the deep Bixby Creek Canyon. The headlands south are on the Brazil Ranch.
The small beach at the mouth of the Bixby Creek is not accessible from the highway.
A short walk up the Old Coast Road gives a different perspective on the bridge.
