Trail Section

Notes

The trail/road drops down to cross the Little Sur River at the confluence with the South Fork. Two bridges cross the branches at a lovely spot covered with redwood, alder, fir and maple trees. Ranch roads running up- and downstream are private.

Features

  • Improved Surface

The mainstem of the Little Sur River continues east under the road bridge.
The two "Bailey Bridges" cross the mainstem and south fork.
The south fork also has good water into the late summer.
A lone fireplace chimney near the south fork speaks of pioneers in the valley.
