Notes

Adjacent to downtown Long Beach, the "New Pike", a several block area along the waterfront, provides a variety of attractions including restaurants, shops, aquarium, convention center, sportfishing, parks and scenic walkway and bike path. One of 3 stops of Aqualink (water shuttle) is here, connecting it to the Queen Mary Seawalk and Los Alamitos Bay.
The New Pike is named after the original Long Beach Pike Amusement Park, which for almost 70 years--from 1902 until the building of Southern California theme parks--featured some of the nation's primier roller coasters.
